OCEAN
Far out in the ocean, where the water is as blue as the prettiest cornflower and as clear as crystal, it is very, very deep
Ocean whispers
Salty teardrops
Ocean’s howling
Overwhelming
And waves
Ripple endlessly
Ocean lingers
In a teardrop
Ocean’s calling
From the billows
And waves
They sing endlessly
Come and dive
Come and dive
We must not imagine that there is nothing at the bottom of the sea but bare yellow sand
Ocean makes
Like a last farewell
Splashing your soul
With foaming clouds
Each wave
Enlacing every move
Ocean stole the light
It calls to you
Ocean stole the stars
Banishing your ghost
Now you’re dying
Drowning in the stream
Come and dive
Then you dive
The most singular flowers and plants grow there, the leaves and stems of which are so pliant that the slightest agitation of the water causes them to stir as if they had life. Fishes, both large and small, glide between the branches, as birds fly among the trees here upon land.
